I think of our work together as a partnership. You are the expert in your life and what you want from it, and I have expertise in human behavior, change processes, mental health, goal setting, and success variables. If you spend time thinking about what is working for you and what isn’t, and work to communicate with me openly throughout the process we can do great work together.
This is true for our initial sessions, but also throughout our work together. I will frequently check in with you to see if we are addressing the issues that are important to you. I will also ask whether you see our time together as effective. In my experience, your involvement, collaboration, and feedback are critical in helping us create a process that is as unique as you are.
